What is Maracuja Oil?

Maracuja oil is the Brazilian name for  Passion Fruit oil.  Extracted by cold pressed method from the SEEDS, NOT from the PULP  the fruit as most people have been led to believe.

Unrefined cold pressed Maracuja oil has a fresh and pleasant citric fragrance, with a bright  yellow color. Maracuja  oil is an emollient oil - rich approximately 70% in linoleic acid which supports skin barrier function by helping to control trans-epidermal water loss aiding in the restoration of the lipid layer of the skin.


One of the greatest features of Maracuja oil is its high contact of Vitamin C, which is commonly destroyed  by heat during the refining  process  and unfortunately highly refined is the most available Maracuja oil on the market. Along with the vitamin C, the refining process destroys its natural chemical components responsible for its lovely characteristic   color, scent and taste. The result is colorless, tasteless and scentless oil replaced by synthetic dye and scent.

Passion Fruit Oil (Maracuja oil) extracted from the seeds of the passion fruit, has been traditionally used to protect, soothe and moisturize the skin.

Directions: Use daily after shower. With the help of the spatula included put a generous amount into the palm of your hand. Rub both hands together to melt the butter. Apply in circular movements all over the body, concentrating in driest parts.
